All I Want for Christmas is a Domino’s Watch
Dear foodies: Are you struggling to find the perfect gift for that special someone in your life? Do you fear the Christmas crowds in stores? Are you drunk right now, and armed with a credit card? If you answered yes to all of these questions, consider this year’s hot holiday item, higher than almost everything on everyone’s wishlist ever: the Domino’s-labeled Swiss Army Watch, yours for the low price of $2,900. Hotter this season than even the … Read entire article »

Spinach & Feta Pizza | Domino’s
Hey foodies, This Thanksgiving, I feasted. I feasted on single-serving dishes from Whole Foods (#bleak) and a cupcake. Appropriately, as I waited in line to purchase my items, I listened to the Bright Eyes Christmas album–what may or may not be the #bleakest celebration of Our Lord and Savior Forever and Ever Amen’s birth ever recorded. Nonetheless, I had a pretty okay holiday. On Friday, I had a brief hiatus from my personal project (slated to … Read entire article »

Combo Creations 2.5: The Severson Special – Domino’s Edition
Hey foodies, Today’s Combo Creations is only “2.5″ because while it is a combo of sorts, it doesn’t combine fast food from different restaurants as the previous Combo Creations have. The name of the restaurant is Domino’s. The name of the food is A Pizza. The glorious composition of A Pizza? Thin crust, half pepperoni, half spinach. Seems simple enough. Yet this magical combo of thin crust, pepperoni and spinach is so much more than ‘simple’ or even … Read entire article »

Susan Guy: An American Hero
Although the new Gawker layout is, well, horrendous to say the least, I swallowed my aesthetic sensibilities to read about Susan Guy, Fast Foodies’ new hero. Jean Wilson ordered one large pepperoni pizza every day for three years. For perspective: I consider myself a pretty rampant fast foodie, and even I only order one small pepperoni/spinach pizza every two weeks. Now, after three years of daily Domino’s delivery, Ms. Wilson did not call in her order for three days straight. Concerned, a Domino’s employee, Susan Guy, asked her boss if she could go check on Ms. Wilson. The boss was like, “Hell no, that ain’t necessary.” But Ms. Guy went above and beyond customer service expectations. She clocked out and drove valiantly to the residence of Ms. Jean Wilson and, in doing so, … Read entire article »

Valentine’s Day Special
Hey foodies, Things not to buy for your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day: 1. Those weird “sweetheart” candy necklaces that taste like chalk and suit perfectly a high school Hot Topic ~goth~ trying to choke herself to death with a copious amount of jewelry. Perhaps also the first taste (ha!) she will ever have of half-baked irony. 2. “Necco wafers.” Seriously, did anyone not specifically go through their post-trick-or-treat pumpkin and pull aside these pastel-flavored discs with the intention of curb-stomping them later? 3. The acursed candy hearts with those gay-ass messages on them, sometimes smeared as a result of hasty mass production into nigh illegible phrases or commands: “Be mine” becomes “bE MIN” and etc. 4. Palmer’s chocolate. It is like the Rose-Art of chocolate. NEED I SAY MORE. Things you should definitely consider buying for … Read entire article »
